Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

It applies to all individuals who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Note: Specific licensing or refresher training requirements should be obtained from the relevant state or territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

In This Course You Will

• Learn how to recognise and respond to cardiac emergencies
• Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants
• Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) effectively
• Gain hands-on experience in real-life scenarios

Course Details

• Duration: 2 hours (face-to-face CPR and first aid training and assessment)
• Pre-course Requirement: Mandatory completion of the CPR online assessment before attending
• Cost: $60 per person

On successful completion, you’ll receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for:

• HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

CPR Refresher Course

In line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, the HLTAID009 qualification should be updated every 12 months.

TTSA offers flexible ways to refresh your CPR qualification, including a 2-hour in-class CPR refresher.
